Riding
Do I need experience?
No. If you can ride a bicycle you can ride our Vespas. We start with a short practice round on a quiet road until you feel at home.
Do I have to change gears?
No. Our Vespas are fully automatic. Turn the throttle and go.
Which language is the tour in?
Yes. Eduard guides in Dutch, and that means the whole day: on the intercom while we ride, at the beekeeper, and at the lunch table. English and Spanish are just as possible — tell us when you book which language suits your group best.
Which licence do I need?
In Spain a category B car licence covers a 125cc Vespa, but only if you have held it for at least three years, and that rule applies on Spanish territory alone. For a licence issued outside Spain it is not automatic, so tell us which licence you hold when you book and we will confirm it with you beforehand. Does it not work out? Ride on the back instead: a passenger needs no licence at all. Bring the original document on the day, a photo on your phone is not accepted.
Can I ride as a passenger?
Of course. Many guests ride two up. Passengers need no licence and pay a smaller fee.
Is it safe?
We ride small roads with little traffic, never more than five scooters, and your guide is on the intercom the whole way. All Vespas are new, insured and serviced weekly.
The day itself
What should I wear?
Closed shoes, long trousers and a light jacket. Mornings in the mountains are cooler than the coast, even in summer. We provide the helmet.
Is lunch really included?
Yes, a full lunch, coffee along the way and fuel. Drinks beyond water, wine and coffee are the only thing you might pay for.
Can you cater for allergies or vegetarians?
Always. Tell us when you book and we will arrange it with the kitchen beforehand.
Where do we meet?
In Monte Pego. You will get the exact address and a map in your confirmation email. There is free parking a minute away.
Booking
What happens if it rains?
We move your day to another date, or we refund you in full. Riding in the rain is not the experience we want to give you.
Can I cancel?
Free of charge up to 48 hours before departure. After that we ask for half, because the table and the machines are reserved for you.
When do I pay?
You pay a €49 deposit online when you book. The rest you settle on the morning itself, card or cash, whichever suits you.
Can you do a private group?
Yes. That is exactly what a Private Experience is: we put it together for your group alone, at your own pace and along a route that suits you. Tell us the date, how many of you there are and what you would like to see, and we come back the same day with a proposal and a price.
